🐚 Son of the Sea Campground 📍 12987 Shore Rd East, Port George (Moshers Corner—if you know, you know 😉) Welcome to Son of the Sea, a safe and substance-free campground built for folks who want to enjoy ocean views, good company, and the most beautiful sunsets Nova Scotia has to offer—without the presence of drugs or alcohol.
We’re not a recovery center—we’re a space. A gathering place for like-minded people who live alcohol- and drug-free, whether by choice, lifestyle, or lived experience. It’s simple: you deserve a place to just be.

You can breath the easy
You don’t have to explain yourself
You can come back year after year and feel like you never left.
We’re building this place for people like us—people who’ve said, “I just want to go somewhere chill where I don’t have to deal with that scene.”
We might host the occasional meeting or sober event, and we’re open to future ideas—but at our core, we’re a campground, not a program. This is our business and our heart—and we’re so glad you’re here to share it.
Come for the sunsets. Stay for the peace.

The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world because of its unique shape and natural timing. As ocean water moves into the bay, the funnel-shaped coastline and the bay's depth amplify the tides, causing water levels to rise and fall dramatically. In some areas, the difference between high and low tide can exceed 50 feet (16 metres).
Located between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the Bay of Fundy is one of Canada's most famous natural attractions. Every day, billions of tons of seawater flow in and out of the bay, creating one of the most powerful tidal systems on Earth.
Visitors come from around the world to witness this incredible phenomenon and experience the constantly changing coastline.
The Bay of Fundy acts like a giant funnel. As water from the Atlantic Ocean enters the bay, it becomes compressed into a narrower space. This causes the water level to rise higher than it would along a typical coastline.
The farther the water travels into the bay, the more dramatic the tidal changes become.
Another reason the tides are so high is a process called tidal resonance. The natural timing of the incoming tides matches the time it takes water to move through the bay. This creates a "sloshing" effect that further amplifies the tides, much like pushing a swing at exactly the right moment.
This combination of geography and timing is what makes the Bay of Fundy famous worldwide.
Some of the best places to experience the Bay of Fundy's incredible tides include:
The Bay of Fundy's tides create a constantly changing landscape. During low tide, visitors can explore exposed shorelines, tidal pools, and coastal rock formations. A few hours later, those same areas may be completely underwater.
The tides also support a rich ecosystem that attracts:
